Not all hits are created equal

- So you've crafted a good search query and you've got a page of results, where should you start? In this video, I'll talk about how some sites on the web are much more likely to give you helpful solutions. Once you learn to recognize these higher quality sites, you'll look for them in your search results and save yourself a ton of time by not having to sift through unhelpful pages. So in kind of a general way, I'm going to go through some different types of sites, from best to worse. The best kind of site when you're looking for a solution is an answer site, one that's well designed like Stack Overflow, and has page organization that's going to make it really clear what the best answers are. Next is a really well-written blog post with a nice design. It can give you more detail than an answer site in some cases and if it's well-designed the right answer will pop out at you as well.
