Learn the tools and frameworks that can make your web development workflow more productive and efficient.
- [Christina] When learning web development, we tend to focus on learning how to write the actual language first, but in addition to learning HTML, CSS and JavaScript, there are so many other tools and frameworks to keep up with. It can be exciting and overwhelming at the same time. I'm Christina Truong, and over the past 10 years of developing websites and teaching, I've seen a lot of changes come and go. In this course, I'd like to give you an overview of some of the current tools and workflow-management techniques for web development, and help you evaluate which ones will work best for you.
We'll start by getting to know your browser developer tools, we'll take a look at customizing your text editor to suit your personal needs, we'll explore using shortcuts to write code more efficiently, we'll introduce you to tools that can automate repetitive tasks, and we'll get a high-level overview of version control systems. The goal for this course is to gain an understanding of what tools are available and how to use them to make your workflow more productive. Let's get started.
