- Hello, I'm Lauren Bacon. Welcome to Collaborative Design: Vision and Strategy. This course is aimed at web designers, project managers, and other creative professionals who want to collaborate more effectively with clients and colleagues on design projects. This is the second course in my Collaborative Design series, preceded by Collaborative Design: Managing a Team. In this course, we'll explore how and why to collaborate on the high-level strategy for a web design project, and how to capture your vision and strategy in a brief that can be shared with the team, and used throughout your project.
I'll teach you how to ask your clients, and other project stakeholders, better questions in order to get clarity on the purpose, objectives, and audience for your project. We'll look at the business case for collaboration. I'll share some of my favorite questions for sparking creative collaboration and developing a strategy that leverages your team's collective expertise. And we'll talk about how to avoid some of the pitfalls that can trip up an effective collaboration. By developing the vision and strategy for your web project, using a collaborative process, you'll get your entire team on the same page on what matters most, the direction you wanna go.
And when you've got clarity on that, you're halfway towards a collaboration that produces extraordinary outcomes.
