It's time for another member question. Today's question is about billing for fixed costs. This person writes: "My client understands my hourly and project fees, "but has a hard time understanding other costs, "like licenses, stock photography, "WordPress plugins and such. "With fixed-bid pricing and fickle clients, "this means we eat costs on things like this "far more than we like to. "How do I better manage this with my client?" Okay, I'm going to give you some tough love here. The problem here is not your client, it's you.
