- The term information architect covers a range of skills, experience levels, and responsibilities. You won't get the full skill set in every entry level information architect you hire. Like any individual who has to work across teams, a relatively novice information architect might need coaching and ways to make sure that their work has influence and impact. It can be lonely, too. It's uncommon for an organization to hire a whole team of information architecture people. In fact, it's more likely that information architecture is just one part of someone's job.
