- [Instructor] Hi, I'm Lauren Bacon and welcome to this week's edition of the Web Career Clinic where I explore how to build a career you love making good stuff on the web. This week's edition is for designers and really anyone who works with color, especially if you're in a position to make decisions about the colors you use in your web projects. I recently spoke with Sarah Marie Lacy. She's a painter who specializes in portraits but she has a background as a web designer so she has a deep understanding of color and how it works in different contexts. In the course of our conversation she shared a few things that really stuck with me, and today I'm going to share three insights that might surprise you. The first is that colors look different on screen. Now that might seem obvious but it's important to understand that color on screens works very differently from color in other contexts.
