- [Voiceover] Hi, I'm Lauren Bacon, and welcome to this week's edition of the Web Career Clinic, where I'll explore how to build a career you love making good stuff on the Web. When you're just getting started in the Web industry, the number of potential career paths can seem overwhelming. Even within a relatively narrow specialization, like front-end coding, there are subspecialties, and there are a lot of different ways your career could unfold from that place. You could start playing around with back-end coding and find a niche there. You could become a JavaScript specialist. You could become a team leader and manage a group of coders. You could do what I did and start your own shop, where you wear a bunch of hats, hire some employees, and eventually leave all of the coding to other people so you can concentrate on growing your business.
