- Hello, friends! This is Sue Jenkins with Productivity Tips for Web Designers. Today, I'd like to show you a quick way to add HTML, CSS and JavaScript comments to your webpages in Dreamweaver's code view. Comments are customizable bits of text that you can insert into your code to explain why you've done something while leaving your code intact. Best of all, while you can see comments in code view in Dreamweaver, they will not display in a browser. You can use comments to provide information, offer suggestions or even mark or identify different locations within your webpage. For instance, you can use comments to indicate the beginnings of new sections and the ends of code blocks. You can use them to identify closing div tags, provide instructions to programmers or other team members, and add information that might be helpful to another person who may be looking at your code and possibly learning from it.
