Positioning the Cintiq for your working style

Because the Cintiq pen display combines the drawing surface with the display into a single device, its placement considerations are very different than that of a tablet. The first thing you need to know is that this device is heavy, 63.9 pounds to be exact. As such, you won't be moving it around much. The good news is that the Cintiq comes with a heavy-duty adjustable stand that accommodates a wide range of positioning. So first of all, you need to realize that you're going to want a required working space for this.

It's not something you are going to easily move around, and there are two basic working styles. The first style I call is the drawing style, and this is where your palm is supported on the surface.
