Another acronym to know is the Common Language Infrastructure (CLI) - An open specification developed by Microsoft that describes executable code and runtime environment rules. This video covers some of its rules. Afterwards, Reynald talks about how languages, which target a CLI compile to CIL - Common Intermediate Language. CIL (Formerly MSIL), is the lowest-level human-readable programming language.
