Welcome

- [Kevin] Hi, I'm Kevin Ford, a mobile development practice lead who works, speaks, and teaches on a wide variety of mobile development platforms and tools. Visual Studio App Center is an all-in-one tool that solves many of the challenges with mobile development. Build, automated testing, distribution of QA and UAT groups, crash reporting, analytics, and push notifications integrate seamlessly with several different source code repositories, such as GitHub, and a wide variety of mobile development tools, including React Native, Swift, Android Java, and Xamarin. If you're doing mobile development today, chances are that Visual Studio App Center can make your app development experience better. In this course, we're going to use Visual Studio App Center to create and customize builds, run automated UI test, and distribute builds out to QA and UAT teams. We'll show you how to monitor the health and usage of our apps by adding crash reporting and analytics. We'll show you how to keep your apps use informed by sending them push notifications. We'll even update JavaScript in a React Native app without distributing a new release to the store, which is super cool. And we're going to be doing all this for several different mobile development platforms. I've been using Visual Studio App Center in my day-to-day development, and it's awesome. I'm excited to get started. Let's hop in.
