From the course: Learning Visual Studio Code (2017)
Welcome
- One of the most valuable assets a programmer has is the program they use for coding. Some are very simple text editors, but others are more involved applications, like Visual Studio or Eclipse. Well, I want to introduce you to Visual Studio Code, which is a source code editor that hits that sweet spot of having advanced features of an IDE, like Visual Studio, but remains lightweight and quick to start up. On top of that, it's cross-platform. Hi, I'm Reynald Adolphe, and welcome to Learning Visual Studio Code. In this course, we're going to be getting very familiar with Visual Studio Code by using the command line, handling multiple instances of it, managing its layout. I'll also demonstrate code refactoring, important keyboard shortcuts, preparing for environments like ASP.NET, along with language features and debugging. So if you're ready to do this, let's go ahead and jump right in.
