Use VSAC to send a push notification
- [Narrator] We're going to look at how to use Visual Studio App Center to send push notification to devices. We're going to do this on an iOS device, but the process is exactly the same for an Android device. So the first thing we're going to do is install the app. So we'll click on the install button and install the latest release. Press install again. And we'll go out to the desktop. And when it's done installing we can open the app. Now if this is the first time they opened the app with push notifications, if a dialogue popped up asking me if I wanted to allow push notifications within the app, I'd accept it here. Now we're ready to send push notifications to the device. It's important to know that the very first time I install an app on a device with push notifications, it may take several minutes for the app to be registered with the Apple push notification service.
