Docking tool windows with the visualizer
- [Instructor] It's time to explore the tool windows again. This time it focuses on arranging them on the screen and how to change their docking status. I've closed every tool window which means I have this vacant looking IDE. I'll start by adding a single tool window. I'll choose the server explorer. It defaults to docking to the left side of the screen. I can change that status by right clicking on the title bar and choosing one of these states. Here's the floating state. Here's the docked state. Go back to float. I can also do what's called dock as tab document, but now it's appearing as a tab in the tab well. Now let's look at when it's a free floating window. And you want to attach it to one of the sides of the window, you want to dock it, but not using this menu. So when you start dragging around, you'll notice that these icons appear on the screen. These are visualizers and they're there to help me to envision where the item is going to be docked. For instance, keep your eye on…
