- [Instructor] In this video, we'll explore shapes that use predefined data fields in a more sophisticated way. Let's start with a diagram that conforms to the 2.0 version of the Business Process Model and Notation standard for process mapping. We'll use a Visio 2016 starter diagram, but feel free to use the BPMN template and drag shapes onto the page if you have an earlier version of Visio. I'm going to go to the categories tab and in the flowchart category, if you have Visio Professional, you will find the BPMN template. I will choose this starter diagram. Click create, and let's zoom in so we can see the shapes more closely. Notice the task shape includes some data fields. Even the start shape has data fields. Let's go back to the task, and in this case, look in the upper left-hand corner of the task and you'll see a little person, a head and shoulders icon.
