What you should know before watching this course
- [Instructor] If you'd like to follow along with the examples I demonstrate in the videos, you'll need a copy of Visio 2010 or later. I'll be demonstrating with Visio 2016, but will keep you in sync if you're using an older version. It's also important to note that the first three chapters demonstrate features that are contained in both Visio Standard and Visio Professional. However, the remaining chapters require the Professional edition of the product. In some videos, I'll demonstrate features that allow you to link Visio with Excel, Access, and SharePoint, so if you want to follow along in those sections, you'll need access to those products, as well. If you're knew to Visio, you might want to experiment a bit with the software before watching this course. For example, you might create a simple flowchart, a timeline, or an organization chart. If you've used Visio before and are ready to learn how to leverage its data-handling features, let's get started.
