Use SmartShapes from a stencil
- Well now it's time to start creating our own drawings here in Visio 2016 and we're going to get a brief introduction to something called the smart shape. First though, we need to close up anything we might have been working on from previous movies, like our OrgChart here. You can click the close button, the lower close button up here in the top right corner to close the window not the entire Visio program, but just this window. If you are prompted to save your changes, there's no need, just click Don't Save. After you've closed up all your windows you'll arrive at this blank screen ready to create something new. Go up to the file tab, click there. And with new selected, we'll go to one of the most popular types of drawings, the connected drawing, and we'll start with a basic flow chart. Give that a click. Now you get to choose from a blank canvas. You'll have all of the right stencils and shapes for creating a basic flow chart, but you'll get to start right from scratch. If you want…
