- [Instructor] As you've learned throughout this course, Visio is so much more than a drawing program. The capabilities of the software to store, manipulate and visualize data and to generate visually exciting data-driven diagrams, truly set it apart. Now that you've mastered those capabilities, you're ready to chart a new course through your daily work. You now know how to take advantage of existing data fields or add your own new fields. You can display the contents of data fields on Visio Shapes or leverage that data in both built-in or custom reports. Based on my experience with Visio, I think that one of the most exciting things you've learned is the ability to create data graphics, that is to visualize the values of selected data fields in order to drive home a business message.
