- [Instructor] SharePoint lists are a fast, easy way to store data in the Cloud. Either in a private Cloud, run by your organization, or in SharePoint online, which is part of the Office 365 public Cloud. From Visio's standpoint, it doesn't matter whether your SharePoint list is in a public or private location, because a list is a list is a list. To connect to data in a SharePoint list, just point the data selector wizard at your SharePoint site. Depending on when you last logged in, you may be prompted to enter your login credentials. Let's take a quick look at our SharePoint list before we link to it from Visio. This the All Items view of my list. You can see it has network names, IP addresses and other data about the objects in our network. Here's a view that is IP address first. And here's a view I called minimum data, that is just that.
