- [Instructor] Flowcharts are a type of connected diagram, that is a diagram in which part of the value of the picture comes from seeing how shapes are linked to each other. The examples on the screen are four of the many apps available for creating flowcharts. And in this video, we'll explore some of the features that make Microsoft Visio one of the premier applications for this purpose. We'll start with techniques for adding and connecting shapes more quickly than dragging and dropping them. The AutoConnect feature is represented by the four blue triangles that appear when you hover over a shape in a Visio diagram. Clicking a triangle that points to an adjacent shape automatically adds an arrow between the two shapes. A second way to use AutoConnect is to select a particular master in the stencil and then click the AutoConnect arrow in an open direction and Visio fires a copy of that shape…
