Define custom reports
- [Instructor] When a pre-defined report doesn't quite provide what you need, or, when there isn't a pre-defined report available, it's time to create your own. The Visio Report Wizard makes that easy to do. Let's start with a network diagram, and create a report, to show the location of all the network equipment. You'll notice that the shapes on the page do contain data. Here's a PC, here's a router, another PC, server, and so forth. So, there is data in these shapes. On the Review tab, let's click Shape Reports. There are pre-defined reports, but we're going to create a custom one. So, click the New button. Let's create this report for Shapes on the current page. Click Next. And, now, let's select the fields we'd like to see, on the report. Let's scroll down. We'll select Asset Number, Building, Location, and Room. Click Next. We can give this report any title we'd like. Let's call it Location Report. There are three buttons, here, that allow you to refine your report definition. On…
