- [Instructor] Just as dates and durations are valuable additions to many diagrams tracking costs is equally valuable and is probably useful in many more types of diagrams. This video also explores the use of Boolean Fields that record true false values. Let's start by adding a currency field to this star shape. Right click on the shape or in the shape data window choose data and define shape data. Click new and for the label let's use acquisition cost. We'll type the same value into the name field but if you have the developer tab turned on in Visio as I do and you see this name field, remember that the name field has special requirements. It can not contain spaces or special characters. So, I need to remove the space between those two words. If you do not have the developer tab turned on the name field does not even appear in the define shape data dialog. In the type drop down let's choose currency.
