- Themes are a great way to quickly change the overall look and feel of your diagram here in Visio 2016 but themes also have a number of different variants you can choose from to really customize the look and feel. That's what we're going to talk about in this movie as we continue with our pre-test flowchart here we've building and formatting. Next we're going to go to the Design tab if you don't already have that selected to see the theme that we're using. Hover over it. It's called "Linear," and the variant, which is the first one, Variant One. Now, if you wanted to we could go to any of these variants to really change up the look, keeping the same theme, just a variant of those themes, but click the drop down if you want to be more specific. For example if you wanted to change just the colors, keep the connectors, the fonts, etc the way they are, go to the Colors drop down.
