Removing or deleting a virtual machine
- [Instructor] If you have more than a few virtual machines, your machine list could start to get long. There are a few ways of dealing with this. One option is to group the VMs, which puts them into a little container that you can collapse. To do that, I can drag a VM onto another one I want to group it with. The machines do need to be powered off. So I've powered off this virtual machine. I'll drag it on top of the other one, and they move up here to the top in a container called New Group. You can also group machines by selecting them and right clicking on them to select a few. And then choosing group from the pop up menu. Right clicking on the title of the group, I have options to name the group and to ungroup these machines. Grouping machines actually moves the associated files to a folder with the name of the group within the VirtualBox VMs folder. So this helped to keep that folder organized as well. I can collapse…
