Join Anson Alexander for an in-depth discussion in this video What you should know before watching this course, part of Up and Running with Vine.
- There are a couple of key words that are mentioned throughout the course that I'd like to make sure you're familiar with before we begin. The first one is "iOS." iOS is the operating system that runs on iPhones, iPads, and iPods. Therefore, if you're following along with an iPhone, then you're using iOS. Know that when I mention iOS in the course, it applies to you. Next is Android. Similar to iOS, Android is Google's mobile device operating system. Android is a more common term than iOS, so if you have a phone that runs Android, you've probably heard this term before.
It'll come up a few times during the course, so I wanted to make sure that you're familiar. The final term I'd like to clear up deals with the name of the app itself, Vine. Obviously this course is all about using Vine, the app, but throughout the course, I may say something like, "Now you've posted your first vine," or, "Here is where "we can browse vines that other people have posted." When I use the term "vine" or "vines" in these situations, I'm referring to an actual video that you or somebody else has posted to Vine.
Now that we've covered some key terminology, it's time to start taking a look at Vine.
- Creating a Vine account
- Browsing Vine
- Recording and editing Vine videos
- Seeing who is following you on Vine
- Revining videos
