- With all of the different video-sharing apps that are available today, one of the questions that you may ask yourself is what makes Vine unique? Let's go ahead and take a look. First of all, the maximum length of a video on Vine is only six seconds, which may seem really short, but you'll see, once you create a Vine account and start looking at the videos other people are posting, that you can actually do a lot in six seconds and come up with some very funny and interesting videos. Vine also features a very unique method of recording videos.
When you use Vine when you record a video, you don't just press the record button and then press it again when you're done recording. You actually have to hold the record button the whole time that you're recording a video. Now remember, the maximum length is only six seconds. So what this means is you can be at one location, and you can hold that record button to record something for two seconds. Then you can move to another location, record for another two seconds, and then even go to a third location and record for another two seconds. So now you have a six-second video that actually features three entirely different locations.
So this unique method of recording that Vine features really helps you be as creative as possible in that short six-second time frame that you have with videos on Vine. Vine also allows you to quickly cut and edit your videos right after you've finished recording them in the Vine app itself. Vine videos loop like GIF files, which means that when your video finishes, it's just going to start back at the beginning again. So if you get really creative, you can actually have the end of your video transition right back into the beginning of your video, so it almost seems like your video never ends.
It's only six seconds long, but it seems like it just keeps going and going forever. The Vine community is active, creative, and tends to share their videos publicly. Generally speaking, Vine isn't an app that you'll use to privately message your friends and family members, even though you can do so, but instead it's an app that you'll use to express your creative freedom and participate and get feedback from the community.
