- On set, like anywhere in life, tempers will flare and problems do happen. This is a normal thing. But it doesn't mean you should get caught up in it. How do you be a positive team member? One way is to keep your cool. Don't add to the emotional momentum. And if you don't know what's going on, that's actually okay. Take a moment, breathe, and clear your head. Then be part of the solution. Harping on the problem can sometimes make it worse. So be focused on solving. When asked for your opinion, give it. You giving random solutions might not be helpful. Yes, you may know what to do, but sometimes it's not your place. Be ready to take up multiple tasks. Don't take things personally. Someone could be having a really bad day, or something hard is happening elsewhere in life. Or their personality might not initially mesh with yours. This is all okay.
