What is a tech brief?
- One of the most important tools you have for communicating with your team is the tech brief. - [Rich] Absolutely, it's an essential document that really needs to be set in place right away. - [Amy] One of the most important parts of that brief is locking down your plan for both production and post. What I like to do is have this document distributed to all my crew but also the post team, because sometimes people will have to go back and forth a few times and make a final decision about some of the specs. - And ideally you want to lock this down early. It's important that you get this information out before you really get too far along, because it could affect all sorts of things from the equipment that you're going to rent or purchase to the graphics that people are building.
