Thoughts on effects - DaVinci Resolve Tutorial

Thoughts on effects
- [Instructor] So some thoughts about effects in Resolve compared to other editorial tools. Avid editors, you don't need to add an effect. You can just go ahead and click on a clip, and you'll find under the Inspector, most of the things that you would commonly associate with a 3D work. Second, Resolve has a Dynamic Zoom, and that's like Final Cut X's, Ken Burns effect. If you're a Final Cut user, you get right away how this Dynamic Zoom works. If you're coming from a different NLE, this Dynamic Zoom can certainly make you much faster in doing those push and pulls, and panning, across large images. There's a very limited ability to save effects, and the only way to really reuse key frames and the like is to copy and paste, but titles can be dragged back to the project itself, making it easy for you to at least save, if you build, say lower thirds, here in Resolve to reuse them quickly and easily. Background Smart Caching is probably the best way to work with a rendering lifestyle…
