Thoughts on color for the FCPX user
- [Instructor] If you're a Final Cut X user you're going to find, much like editing, color is really different. The closest you're going to find to the pucks here are going to be the color wheels, and those are these color wheels here. And they map pretty much straight across. You don't have in Final Cut X though, curves, which is one of the myriad of advantages of color correcting here in Resolve. If you're somebody who uses a lot of masks to target your corrections, you're going to want to learn Power Windows, and you're going to find them here. And there are some pre-built shapes, and you can draw your own. Last, if you're somebody who uses the Keyer a lot, you're going to learn to use the qualifier here in Resolve, this eyedropper, so you can pick and target specific colors and ranges for your correction to work on.
