- [Instructor] If you're a Final Cut 10 editor, the first thing I want to call your attention to is it's less of a project and more of a media pool. It is a pool of your existing media. So, when you take a look here you'll see we've got this master of all of your bins and then I can go into each individual bin itself. But this whole concept is called a media pool, 'cause it's a pool of your existing media. Bin placement is used in exchange for keywording. There is no partial keywording or partial placement of clips, so Final Cut 10 you could take a section of a clip and add a keyword and take a different section and add a different keyword. This bin system is more traditional and a clip in its entirety gets placed in a bin. There are smart bins like Final Cut has smart keywords. It allows you to build fairly sophisticated auto populating bins. There's no actual project file, it's a database. Somewhat a hybrid between a library for Final Cut and linked files.
