- In the middle of a production people can get pretty busy and a lot of folks like to carry an extra memory card in their pocket, so they can quickly switch over if the device runs out of storage. That's fine, but make sure you have some good protocols in place. Memory cards and camera media are not designed to be in a pocket unprotected. And the flimsy plastic cases that are often included in the commercial packaging just don't cut it. You want to step up to a dedicated card wallet system, something that's hard and going to keep things safe. I've got several options here. I've already shown you this one earlier, it's a system that allows for writing and labeling, so as the cards come out of the camera they're getting labeled. This way the individual shooter can store a ton of material in their pocket, but everything is clearly labeled and protected. You'll notice that when closed this becomes very rigid and is going to help keep the data safe. If using something like an SSD, well…
