Surveying clients

- These days, I encourage you to consider adding surveys to your clients. This is something that more and more people are doing and it's a business trend that allows you to check the temperature of the patient. This can be an informal check-in twice a year or it can be done at the completion of a project. Now, I suggest from time to time, you do a detailed survey, something where you really understand what's on your client's mind or a full debrief. This allow clients to tell you your strengths and weaknesses and helps you improve upon those. What are you good at? Where are the weaknesses? What causes them to think less of your company? Or what do they consider you best at? But getting this sort of detailed response is often difficult because people are concerned, particularly, with such a small survey sample size, that there's going to be hurt feelings or that it might put risk into their projects.
