Shifting speeds with Time Remapping
- [Instructor] In this session, we're going to look at one of the coolest tools in the whole Premiere Elements toolkit. The Time Remapping tool will take a clip from your movie, suddenly shift it into fast motion, or slow it to a crawl, and just as quickly we can shift it back to normal speed. A very cool effect, and one you see in a lot of today's Hollywood action movies. Now if you've got a clip on your timeline, and you just want to speed it up, we've got this woman riding this bicycle, or slow it down, you can do it overall by right-clicking, and under the Clip menu, selecting Time Stretch, and here you can set the speed of the clip, and even set it for reverse. I don't want to do that. I don't want to effect the clip overall. I'd like to have segments of the video that go very fast, and some that go very slow. To do that, all I need to do is select the clip on my timeline, go over to the tool bar, click on Tools, and then use the Time Remapping tool, we'll select it right here…
