Selecting and using a headset microphone
- Choosing a microphone for your webinar is really going to depend upon your personal needs. One of my favorite styles of microphones is going to be a headset mic, particularly if I'm not going to be appearing on camera in video. With a traditional mic, it's very easy as you turn to get off mic. And this could lead to reduced volume and really lower quality sound. However, there's a distinct advantage when using a headset mic. Now, this particular mic is wireless, but you can also get a wired microphone. When you place the microphone on your head you'll notice that there tends to be an extended microphone piece here. Now, you can adjust this slightly to angle it towards your mouth for better position, but what's great about this is as you turn your head the microphone is going to stay in the same relative position.
