Remapping the keyboard—or not

- [Instructor] If you're in a rush to get started in Resolve you may find the greatest comfort by having it emulate your home editorial system, whichever one that is. To get to the keyboard we're going to go up to the Resolve menu and choose preferences. On a Windows machine, this is found under the edit menu. With this open, we'll go from our system preferences to our user preferences. And then here on the left is keyboard mapping with a dropdown of common editorial tools. You can also if you like open up any one of these commands or search for a command you're looking for and customize the keyboard so you're able to modify it your own way. Now with all that being said, I hight recommend learning and using it from the Resolve keyboard set up. First, it's very similar to Final Cut Seven. And second. any tutorial you ever watch will be using the default keyboard.
