- Welcome to this course about producing a video crew. I'm Amy DeLouise, and I am excited about bringing you this course today because as somebody who works as a producer on crews, I know that it can be a real challenge to pull all those pieces together and get what you need out of a shoot. We're going to break it down, make sure you know all the technical issues necessary to guide successful projects using outside production teams. We'll cover the different types of crews, typical gear, so you know which would be best for your project, and we'll also discuss important logistics, like location planning and how to be sure you have your Is dotted and Ts crossed when it comes to clearances and insurance. And of course, no discussion of video crews would be complete without a discussion of budget. Don't worry, in addition to tackling financial subjects, we will also get into some more creative aspects, such as how to do your story planning. One of the most important topics we'll cover is how to ensure your internal team is prepared, including anyone who will appear on camera. Our goal here is to be sure that your next shoot goes as smoothly as possible. So, join me for this course to help you cover your bases the next time you have to produce an outside video crew.
