- Before shooting the video,…it's important to perform some detailed, on-site planning…so you can nail down your specific shots.…If you can access the space ahead of time,…it's a great idea to walk around, take pictures,…and get your video camera out so you can frame the shots.…This will allow you to really get a sense…for the various options, figure out the depth of a space,…troubleshoot any potential obstacles,…and begin to get some ideas…about production design possibilities.…For our interviews,…we don't have too much in the way of on-site planning…since we already determined that we're largely going…to use the exposed brick and wooden beams…of the living room space for our rustic backdrop.…
We'll be able to fairly easily set those shots up…in the moments prior to the interviews,…but it's still a good idea to get a good sense…of all the options.…The memoir performance is a different story, however.…We wanted to shoot this scene in a stylized manner,…so we really wanted to plan this out well.…Now, as a reminder,…
