- Before the day of the interview it's critically important that you actually physically visit the location where the job interview is going to occur. You don't want to get lost on the day of the interview. It looks incredibly unprofessional. Figure out how long your commute time is going to be and then double it. You want to accommodate for traffic, congestion, public transportation issues. You don't want to be late to a job interview. Figure out where you're going to park. Do you need to find a parking garage? Are you going to park and commute in? Can you take an Uber, or a ride share, to get you there a little bit more easily so you don't have to worry about parking? This also gives you a chance to evaluate the size of the company. A company's website doesn't often let you really understand, are they in a big office building, are they a mom and pop shop, or is it run out of the basement? You want to also try to…
