It's important to form successful partnering strategies with other vendors or potential key team members. Partnering is the actual act of formalizing the relationship. In this video, Richard Harrington walks you through things to consider when partnering with others on a project.
- Another important aspect to consider…in your mix of services is partnering.…This is the formalized act of taking someone…who maybe previously a vendor or a competitor…and formalizing an agreement that you're going…to work together on certain aspects of a job or service.…Now, you might have a formal relationship.…This can include a written agreement…where you have pre-negotiated rates.…For example, I regularly work…with a few directors of photography.…These are people that I trust who are highly skilled.…When I need to step outside…of our own internal capabilities,…I'll call one of these directors of photography.…
They'll join us for things like proposals,…where we can include some of their work samples,…and it generally works out nicely.…But we also identify them by name,…and the client knows who they are.…Generally speaking, I try to not hide our partners,…but rather treat them as part of the process.…What's important with your partners is…that you do have a written agreement,…and you specify payment terms.…
