Optimizing fonts in a presentation for readability
- Once it comes time to actually move your slides into video, you have to be mindful of some of video's limitations. First up, if you're gonna be delivering the video to the web, it's going to be likely heavily compressed. And this means that things like thin lines or small details and fonts can be problematic. We also have to keep an eye out for colors that are overly saturated, because sometimes these will break apart. And lastly, we really need to just look at the slides overall and make sure that they're visually consistent and clearly readable. Fonts choice really matters when it comes to slides. Let's go through and fix a few problems. The first slide here looks just fine. While we have richly saturated colors, we still have gentle gradients and it looks like it's gonna hold up okay. On our next slide here, this is the epitome of problems. And what we have here are readable fonts, but things are very poorly sized. Let's go ahead and make a few changes. First up, I'm gonna make…
