- When working with professional video cameras, they're never configured exactly the way you want. That's one of the hallmarks of a professional camera. Multiple frame rates, advanced settings, lookup tables, codec choices, all sorts of things you need to pick. And in order to do this, you need to make sure you're comfortable with the menu settings. Now, we're going to go through a lot of menu settings throughout this course, but I want to take a moment to get you familiar with how you use menus. Most of the Blackmagic cameras are going to offer a touchscreen, which makes this a lot easier. If you're used to using modern cameras or your phone or tablet, it's going to seem quite comfortable. However, some of the cameras like the smaller micro cameras are dependent upon using an external monitor. If you don't plug in an external monitor, you can't see any of the menu settings, which is pretty difficult. So let's take a look here on the URSA, but know that other cameras are the same…
