Moving and swapping clips

- [Instructor] To help you visualize moving clips in the timeline, I'm just going to take this clip here and I'm going to change its color. So I'm going to right click and change it's color to yellow to help you see it. As you drag left and right, you can see the end result visually. I'm going to just let go and it's already been done. I'll hit an undo. If I want to swap the position of these clips though, I'm using the mouse wheel to roll left and right, if I want to change the position of this clip though, I want to start moving it, and then on a Macintosh, hold down Option and Command. On a PC, hold down Alt and Control. And as I do so, it's swapping those positions. You can see as it moves, it's swapping everything out. And when I let go, that's its new position, it swapped those. For anything complex than this, I have to use copy and paste. In the next section on trimming, I'll show you how to nudge this left and right and have it have the other clips accommodate.
