Make the pages
- One of my film professors used to say that really what it all boiled down to, or when it all boiled down, a director's job was to make the pages, and what he meant by that was that at the end of the day, no matter how creative you are, no matter how strong your vision is, if you don't shoot on a given day what you have set out to shoot, if you don't make the pages, then you're not doing the job fully, and so the question then is how do you ensure that you are making the pages every day, or at least doing the best you can to do so? Film sets are hectic, and things happen. How do you make sure that you are getting done what you need to get done, but doing it in a way where you're not sacrificing your vision left and right?
