Location scouting
- Our video is looking really solid on paper. We've written the script, planned out the visuals, and have a bunch of other details worked out as well. And speaking of those visuals, we have a lot of footage to capture all in different locations. But before we officially go scouting locations, I want to talk about some general considerations you should keep in mind as you look for places to shoot. First, you need to find a quiet place in a controlled environment. So that means it should be accessible for the entire time of the shoot and free from interruptions. You also want to make sure that the space is large enough to capture all of the different camera angles that you intend to get. And if you have production equipment or crew, you need to make sure that everything and everyone can logistically fit safely within the space. You should also make sure that you have enough electrical hookups for your equipment. And speaking of electricity, you may also need to unplug or turn off…
