- Not long ago if you had a camera from company A, you had to use lenses from company A, but if for some reason you wanted to use lenses from company B, then you had to buy a camera from company B. That's long gone. And nowadays we can use a very wide range of lenses on many different cameras using small adapters. Now, if I have to give you a recommendation on one lens to buy for the kind of assignments I do, it will be a 24 to 105 millimeter zoom lens, because that lens covers a whole range of situations that work really well for me. But depending on your situation, you might consider macro lenses, longer lenses, wider lenses, and so on. You don't even need to go that far. Nowadays, you can get really good lenses, specifically designed for smartphones. And remember what I mentioned on a previous video, I consider lenses an investment.
