- As I mentioned, LED panels are still a workhorse of LED lighting fixtures. Engineers have figured out how to get more light from the same size panels. They've also come down a lot in price with this model from Aperture only costing around $500. Those same engineers have also come up with some really interesting new light fixture designs including some that are actually flexible. This is the new Westcott Flex. It's an array of LEDs on a flexible water-resistant mat. They can be rolled up, taped up, and tucked away to create interesting lighting options, and of course, they can be mounted in frames as well. This is a versatile panel that comes in a lot of different sizes, from 10-inches by 3-inches to 2-feet by 2-feet. The lights are dimmable and come available in bi-color as well. You can also use them with batteries, making the Flex light a very flexible lighting solution. The smaller 1x1 kit costs approximately $650 while the larger 2x2 is $2,000.
