- Where do most interviews take place? They're probably going to be filmed inside. So what do we look for in finding a location? You want to consider sound and light, in that order. So first, try to find the quietest place possible. That cappucino machine behind me? Not a good thing. (buzzer buzzes) Copy machine (buzzer buzzes) or places where people congregate, (buzzer buzzes) a cafeteria (buzzer buzzes) or anything else that could produce a distracting noise. - Excuse me. - This is not always possible, but try to find the quietest location you can. Try to find a space with some depth. A great trick; use a hallway. Don't put your subject directly in front of a white wall, unless you're going to be stylizing it because it ends up looking like a mugshot. (camera clicks) When it comes to objects in frame, make sure there's nothing distracting behind them, like a plant, (buzzer buzzes) a sign, (buzzer buzzes) lamps, (buzzer buzzes) a screen or an exit sign.
