How to safely move equipment
- Safety is important on set. It's why gaffers tape down power cables. You need to be just as safe when you move equipment around. So what do you need to do? Collapse expandable gear when moving. You don't want to hit others or knock down gear. Carry expensive or fragile equipment separately. Watch where you're going. Let hot lights cool off before packing. The bulbs in them not only can burn you, but can also explode in their cases. Use your core, your glutes, and your hamstrings. Don't lift with your back. This ensures that you won't hurt yourself.
