Gear up: Being prepared for a video shoot

- One of the best things you can do for yourself on set, is having all the gear you use constantly on you. This saves time looking for what you need and gets you to whatever you need to accomplish faster. This can be anything from a bandage to snacks. If an injury is small, it's easier to stick a Band-Aid on it and keep production going, than halting it. Same goes for small sacks. What you will need to do, is to create a bat utility belt of sorts. What are some items that you may need? Now, this isn't a comprehensive list. It's a starting out list that you can change to fit your needs or the shoots you go on. First, is a backpack or bag to put everything in, then gloves for handling hot things, or cold, if you're on a cold outdoor shoot. Snacks, water bottles, notebook, or a pen, pencil for taking notes, a multi-tool. You may need to assemble or disassemble something. Having a multi-tool will keep you from running around…
